• 20 minutes from Massaponax.

• 30 minutes from Fredericksburg.

• 40 minutes from Richmond.

• 70 minutes from Charlottesville.

• 90 minutes from Washington.

• 1 mile from Lake Anna Dam.

• 1 mile across the lake. (in case you want to swim)

• Wineries - Lake Anna Winery is nine miles from the point and is worth the trip. Call the nice folks there to receive a tour of their winery.
• Historic Sites - The city of Fredericksburg is full of history.
• Spotsylvania / Massaponax - Some of the greatest battlefields of the civil war are within 45 minutes of the point.
• North Anna Power Station  -Call the North Anna Power Station Visitor center for information on tours through the facility.

     If you plan on boating on Lake Anna you really should have a map of the lake. The lake is 17 miles long and there are many islands and sometimes shallow areas to avoid.
     If you plan on sight-seeing you will should have a map of Spotsylvania County.
